Certificates Issued for Socio-economic protests to be protected
The Nedlac Standing Committee has considered the following applications and issued a certificate that indicates that the respective socio-economic protest will be protected in terms of Section 77 of the LRA.
2025:
The socio-economic strike will commence at 00.00 and end at 23.59 on 7 October 2025
2-hour pickets from 12h00 to 14h00 in the build-up to the national march and pickets as from 16 September 2025. This will take place during working hours
Protest action in the Western Province City of Cape Town on 12 March 2025, 00h05 – 23h59.

Nedlac has received the following notices indicating the dates of the protest action.
Section 77 (1) (d) notice from COSATU Western Cape
- National Day of Protest on 26 February 2025 shutdown in the Western Cape Province.
- Rallies, marches, demonstrations, and lunchtime pickets in Beaufort West in front of NG Church Hall.
